matchboxbalzan, Majjistral Malta134 Threads 1 Polls 635 Postsi cant understand these people that live in somalia they are poor yes, and they are starving to death and they need alot of help we all know that, bur they should be the ones who should help themselves first, you see parents with 6 or 7 kids even more sometimes why?? if they already have kids why do more and more? that means more and more problems especially living in that part of the world, with no education and no nothing, its time that these people start to something positive in life and not rely on other countries to gather money for them everytime they have a problem

OMG I can't believe you wrote that without even investigating why there are problems in Somalia. Perhaps find out a little bit about the situation there before coming out with comments like the above.

No Government in Somalia since 1991.Before then , rulers ruled with iron fists.The country is ruled by fragmented militia based on clanism.No education, no health services etc.Illiteracy levels in Somalia are quite high.So family planning is a foreign issue.But note that the militias have the best weapons to guard their territory.These weapons are never manufactured in Somalia.The world ignored this East African country.Now it it the al shabab [an islamist org] running the show there.They have made the world to come together due to the insecurity at the sea.In the end, the world has been forced by the circmstances to offer security for sea transport.The money many countries are using to offer security including high insuarance rates at the indian ocean waters and beyond due to the sea pirates would have been used to help that country.
So, look at the bigger picture in Somalia.

You haven't a clue about the difficulties they have to live with. So, until you go there and live under the conditions they live under don't be so quick to judge. You probably wouldn't last a week under the conditions they have lived under for years now.
