montecito: I weally weally don't mean to complain but I'm having a problem trying to decipher what some of these acronymns and abbreviations the peeps are using...
For example, yesterday three different threads I was in I saw:
^^^^^^^.....
Ti's........
Ro..........later on I found out that meant romance
The obvious acronymns are easy such as if you say to me I'm SOL, that this will change, I'll know what you mean...
If I don't understand the symbols and abbreviations used I won't get the true meaning of what is being said....
I'm wondering, am I the only one who struggles with acronymns and abbreviations?...

I just went through your thread about "Complicated" from beginning to end and I couldn't find it so now I'm thinking it must have been in Ambrose's thread. I'll give that a quick check. If I don't find it it's no big deal..

There is one particular gentleman that is quite active in the forums, but I swear I can never understand a word he is saying. He doesn't make complete sentences and abbreviates everything. If it's his thread, I go completely away. He's a nice gentlemen, but I can't get what he is saying.

when you choose a pic, either a small short explanation will appear directly under it before adding it, OR when you add it to the rough draft, it will give a one or two word explanation. For example, when I put in For example, yesterday three different threads I was in I saw:

before I decide to send it to you, the word "typing" appears. This would indicate, whimsically, that I am busy on the keyboard. The two little heads are simply saying, "we're having a conversation", the detective man or woman is just a comical way of saying "I'll find that out for you", or, "isn't this a mystery" or some such mordant farcical drivel. Hope this helps.

Thanks Rohaan. I know about holding the mouse on an emote to see the words underneath it which says what the emote means. The things I mentioned are keyboard letters that people wrote. Somebody actually typed ...^^^^^^... and somebody else typed... "Ti's"... They weren't emotes.
I think from now on I'll ask the person what it means when someone posts a mysterious symbols. I'll have to be responsible for my own detective work...
