We were going from Philly to Savannah and we were on the Silver Meteor...Maybe jennifer got off in Baltimore...I just remember listening to that slap-slap of the whheels on the track afterwards...sounded right lonesome when she left and stuff.

I used to ride the train alot from Colorado to California...and I was doing alot of writing....the whole trip I had this whole fantasy story going on about a guy two seats up from me...I wrote a whole story about him....
We were the last two off the train...and we were stuck for awhile just sitting on the tracks...I finally got the nerve to talk to him....my story was much better than real life...

trains in america are they all as bad as the 32 hour jouney from miami to new york- jeez man christmas eve the train departs miami 10 hours late and crawls along 70mph arriving ny boxing day- everthing else is great over there but your trains suck

I've rode Amtrak across the country and back several times. It takes 3 days from Western Pennsylvania to Seattle. Great scenic ride if you have the time.
