i received this e-mail from a good friend of mine today.. in one of my pics uploaded on my profile i had a pic of me and her, and i guess i made the mistake of not telling her that i had included our picture on my profile. coming to think of it, i never told her that i had a profile here in the first place..

now my question is... why the hell are they making fun of HER??! it's quite obvious that the profile is mine, and i dont think they even have the right to make fun of me, well i'm single and have the right to post a profile on a dating site if i want to, or arent i? does having ur pic on a dating site obviously taken to be that u are a completely frustrated person who can't get a boyfriend through the 'usual' ways dictated by normal society?? geeze.. i'm dissed

Well.....hmmmm....you probably should have cropped your friend outta the picture, but I don't think you really did anything wrong. Doesn't mean you are frustrated either. I have met some really incredible people out here in this world that I would have never met. People that are confining themselves to finding true love in their backyard or their bloce are limiting themselves. Don't sweat it, girl. Ever been to Virginia? LOL
I kind of wonder what kind of friend is she if she could not stand up to a little peer pressure. Would she be the type that would quit being a friend, because you found love with someone she did not like the looks of or because of her other friends did not like him? Will she be there when you really need her in the future?
She should have told her other friends that she thinks it is great that you thought so much of your friendship with her to include her in a picture of you on your profile. Then she could have told you she is flattered that you thought that much of your friendship, but she doesn't really like that photo of herself and could you change it. I think you need to have a long talk with her and see if your friendship is strong enough to last after forgiving each other or should you part your ways now while you two are still on talking terms.
I'm not really getting the idea that you're being made fun of. I think the person was surprised to see somebody he knew on a site and handled it the wrong way. I don't think your friend should have cared one way or another but oh well...the picture is prettier without her.....Don't let people get to you.
i think it's so obvious from the email, isnt it? the fact that the person says that 'my friends are making fun of me' and that the person who wrote to her inserted comments as 'looking through a dating site, yeah yeah i admit', sort of tries to point out that it's almost something to be ashamed of..
and this leads to another question.. why all the profiles without pictures..? many say that it's to protect their privacy.. y all the privacy in the first place? isn't that because, somewhere, somehow, there's a negative connotation to putting ur profile up in a dating site?
