There are 9 teams
And they get straight to the semis because they are Leinster champions. I agree though, it should be a preliminary round and then 4 quarter finals

i agree with you on that, but it was a concession made when galway and antrim came in that the previous winners would have a bye

The hurling championship has always been fixed/seeded in some form or another. They just change it around every few years

ul find the munster council will never change... its just kk get preferential treatment in leinster... i heard some of the other leinster countys were going to complain and get it changed, the layout and seedings i mean
