Amenda: I admire those who like to travel alone and can still enjoy beautiful scenes alone, without any lonely feeling.

For me even thinking about that make me feel lonely. But if you are just alone, then you are just on the end of the rope, no other choice. just alone

Have done most of Europe on my own....by choice....just as much as I have traveled in company too....

I find being alone is good if you want to see a city or a place well...without having to agree on what you want to see or do with anybody....and in effect...I tend to meet up with people in any case who are doing the same thing....

...so although I understand that you like it more if in company while traveling...but do not agree with you that it is a lonely thing to do....being alone does not make you lonely....you can be surrounded by people and still be lonely...

wink

I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy ,traveled by myself and returned same way, lol, Met lots of very nice people and had a wonderful time, never really felt alone except when I closed my room door at night, but usually was so tired after the day,s adventures, and so full of food and vino it really was not an issue, Never once did I feel uneasy or unsafe. and will definitely do again

I can't agree more with your "you can be surrounded by people and still be lonely", exactly!

So the basic thing is lonely instead of travelling alone or not, if you are lonely then no matter where you are what you do you are still lonley, if you are not lonely, even if you travel alone, you can still contact with your beloved one with cell phone or other equipment, so not be lonely at all, because a person is in your heart and also you are in that person's heart too......now I can see the question through....

thumbs up

Amenda: Some people like to travel alone. Except those scientists who do their research, how can we understand those who travel alone?

I mean how can a lonely traveler can enjoy his or her trip alone?
What kind of people, with what kind of mind can enjoy his or her trip alone?

warm welcome your perspectives, thanks a lot

Certainly I have, and I think I get to see more on my own than with somebody else. But these were mostly short city trips. It would be boring to go on long travel alone, I think.

People like myself have gotten used to it,because either the people we like don't like us or vice versa and we don't want to settle for anybody, also there is a chance we might meet someone in our travels.Although I have gotten used to traveling alone obviously I would like to travel with that special someone someday.
