wedwardlinz, Upper Austria Austria680 Threads 7,252 Postswith malta holding a get together in novemember i would like to propose meeting for members from all over europe from 2/1/07 to the 7/1/07 a 5 day break after christmas and new year any interest please post your ideas
Will just miss it as I will be in Austria in December for 10 days. But, if I ahd to come I would have suggested Wien or Graz.
linz is where i am and 1 hour from salzburg and wien but linz is central and only salzburg and linz have cheap flights and i have access to reasonble priced places to stay .
Gee whiz... now I gotta decide between Malta and Austria... why you give me all these decisions to make! Austria... snow same as CH... Malta... hot humid beaches.... which one?

i would love malta or spain but when malta started going pear shaped i thought id post a thrad to gauge feelings for sch a meeting
So the meeting in Malta is cancelled. 
dont be hasty gypsy if all want to go to malta then we come to malta its up to everybody

My suggestions would be to start a new thread with the headline:
Dinner -- Drinks in Austria.
Place three possible dates with the one having the most replies as the winner. Put the place for dinner and drink in the notice with some basic information about the gathering.
Ask if some other people would like to be leaders in the country they are now in. Because more than one gathering a year would be a good thing.

Where did this Spain or Austria come from? As far as I´m aware ,and correct me if I´m wrong, there have been no arrangements or suggestions made ref having a Spanish get together, the suggestion of one in Austria just after xmas as per my response in the other thread ,is no thank you!
Gipsy or Freeze (whoever she is appearing as today) was organising one in Malta, that is now being organised by SweetCherry and as far as I am aware is next month, open for all who wish to go, not just Malta members.(Please go to the Malta thread to discuss and get info)

Yes you are right about the maltese get-togerher, it's for all if some one want to join us.

and you think nov27 is not to close to xmas i suggesed austria or as a possible after axmas and new year and i do not wish to tread on toes so your view is valid as is mine

You are indeed entitled to your views and yes the end of November is to close to Xmas for me hence regretfully wont be able to go. However for a lot of people between now and November end , there may not be anything going on. Between now and when you suggest dates for your get together, there is a lot going on and expense in particular for me to go to and time out from work with no income. I am also not the only one and I do not have children.
