been on loads of dates with women from all over the country... the only ones that ever lasted as more than a few dates, were the ones who lived close to me...
it's just easier when they ain't far away.... but i don't like planning... so it's easier to be spontaenous with someone who lives close

Id say about an hour would be the maximum travel time for it to still work!! Other than that its a big effort to meet up and realistically will not work unless both ppl are really really into eachother!! :)

I was in a relationship for over a year and a half with a lad from Norwich.We met one weekend when he was over here on his friends stag do.Over the period of time I think we only didnt see each other about five weekend.The travel is hard going but it is possiable and costs alot as well.just wondering has anyone here gone on a date outside your own county? and if so how did it go? and is it still going or gone???

i was in a relationship with someone from cork for around6 months and we saw eachother maybe 8 times and it just fizzled out. was in a 5 year relationship and the last 18 months of it he spent in iraq, it would have kept working when he came home but he decided his new job meant more to him then i did so even though we only lived 20 mins apart we never saw eachother and thats no way to have a relationship. dont think id do long distance again though just wondering has anyone here gone on a date outside your own county? and if so how did it go? and is it still going or gone???

Ideally it would be nice to meet someone near , but i think if u got on with someone , distance shouldn't be a prob
Was with a guy who was over 3 1/2 hours away......it lasted around 6 months till we realised it wasnt working....if he had lived closer I think we would have realised that alot sooner. Personally I think anything over an hour away is too far.
