went drinking last night in my local after I got a phone call from a friend...night went great fine we drank away and had the crack...landed back in his house watching TV 1 mate went home I sat with the other and we drank for a while....he fell asleep and was snoring on the couch I got up to turn off the heat and his girlfriend woke up and turned it off for me when I explained...friend woke up and walked towards the hallway in the house where he started to piss against the wall and the floor...a few feet away was a toilet and I said it to him would you ever go into the toilet and dont be doing that so I grabbed him by the arm and brought him towards the toilet door...he took a fit of rage and punched me twice in the head...he didn't mark me or draw blood I'm fine but I was shocked when it happened..I've known this chap years and although he has a colourful history as regards violence is concerned we have never gone down that road before..normally when somebody hits me I hit back but I just couldn't retaliate like that...I left in a huff and stole his 20 cigarettes saying I needed a smoke after that lol..texted him afterwards letting him know how I felt about the whole thing and got no reply...question I'm asking is would you continue to be mates with somebody who assaulted you even though they were drunk? or would you steer clear?

I am sorry to hear HC.
But I am one of those people who firmly believes that the things we do when we are drunk are in us anyway and drinking has been used as too much of an excuse. If we find ourselves doing things drunk that dont sit well with us when we are sober....then cut down on the drinking.....dont go...oh I was drunk....I didnt know what I was doing etc etc.
People I feel drink too fast, not giving their bodies time to realise just how drunk they have become or for them to figure out at what point they have actually reached their limit.
Dont get me wrong, although I rarely drink and dont drink much when I do....I do the very odd time, like to have a couple of shots mixed in. But I am very aware of my limits.

Straightdown: When people sleep walk they can talk to you and act normally....There have been people known to cook and drive in their sleep! And drink normally makes it worse. A friend of mine does it and can appear quite normal.

He was sleep walking. There is no way he just chose to piss in his hall...When you woke him he was startled and lashed out....what many of us would have done...He is probably cringing today about it.

I used to think our toilet light was mind controlled till I discovered I was pissing in the fridge!laugh

Well it has happened to me and ya it pisses you off but it depends on how good mates you are The guy that hit me was under stress with work and personal things .But he did contact me following morning and say sorry. We have been friends for years and still are.
You will have to decide for yourself every one is different.Just look into all aspects like why he reacted what happening around him how long have ye been friends. If he has colourful pass regards Violence then he has a problem .

Alcohol consumption is a very individualised thing. I've known so called "hard men" by day just break out singing or indeed crying with a skinfull and quiet calm quys loose the plot after four pints or when the hit the top shelf. I think if you get a personality transplant after a few drinks you maybe need to rethink either you choice of drink or how drink affects you.

Sleep walking or not the fact that someones first instinct is to last out is not exactly comforting.

My adivce.. steer clear of him while pissing...anywhere!
