I for one am a very busy man but would definitely make time for someone in my life. I don't want to be alone forever. I see some people and think that they must not have much of a life. As for me it's only the relationship part I lack. Where do you fall? Kevin

I used to have a very active schedule. There almost never a time when I only worked 8 hours in a day. I was a workaholic and working overtime was the norm for me. When I was working full-time I went to college at night. When I went to college full-time I worked at night. Seldom had time for a social life most of the time, although I certainly would have made time for a partner. In fact, I did have some relationships with women. I never considered it dating. Seems like I was either "involved" with them complete, or not at all. Never did the actual dating thing. Never fell in love to point where I wanted to make a permanent commitment.

Now I'm retired. I have basically nothing on my agenda, and I've actually fallen into a rut of complacency. I am writing on a book, I'm learning to play the piano and violin, and I do whatever needed chores need to be done. But this is like living the life of a lazy bum in comparison to what I used to be like. Retirement sucks. But I have no choice in the matter. It was forced upon me by medical issues.

But I'm with you on the idea that a partner the only thing missing at this point. I actually have some things I'd like to do with a partner, but I find it hard to get the ambition to do them alone.

Like Xstacy said the other night. She shaved her legs to go out, and then stood herself up and stayed home. rolling on the floor laughing

It's just too easy to stand yourself up!
