She has also extend an invitation for you to attend. Would you attend her wedding because she is your best friend, or would you politely decline because the groom is your ex? Which is more important to you, your friend wedding day, or your unresolved feelings regarding your ex?
Well personaly if it was me I definatly would go to the wedding as it is my best friend right?
As for the groom being a former high school sweetheart well unless you just graduated from high school last year then why in the heck would you resent the wedding? It is the past obviously and anything in the past should remain in the past.
I say move on and go to the wedding. I think it would be pretty rude and selfish if you didn't go in my opinion.

You took the words right out of my mouth Tracy...whether there are any "unresolved" feelings or not...that is water under the bridge now...
Her being your "best friend" would also know he is your "ex" and how you feel...it also says that regardless of that she IS going to make this man part of her life...she has obviously put her priorities straight...but by issuing you an invitation she is also saying she wants you as part of her "new life"...and the ball is in your court...

My best friend did marry my high school sweetheart. We were all really good friends in highschool. My ex and i dated for about 3 years. A couple years later my friend called me and asked me if I would mind if she started to date my ex. A couple of years ago i went to their wedding and it was an awesome time. They have been together for about 10 years now. They have 3 children with the 4th one on the way. Her daughter and mine are the best of friends. 
I agree with Tracy and would handle it the way she describes
