you have to disable the account and leave it for 2 weeks then its gone..if you log in at all in those 2 weeks profile stays up..I deleted my own fb page
it will stay up indefinately if its not being used
baldydude: prob ere tho is, the page belongs to a mate of mine who is no longer with us, got killed in a crash over 2 yrs ago but still his name pops up on my page from time to time, i.e. suggest friends for him etc .... kinda freaky
mail admin on fb and let them know hes dead and to delete the account...unless someone has his login details and is messing around

I have a friend and her cousin died last yr, the family wanted the page left alone and someone out of spite reported it to the mods and it was closed
needless to say family were not to happy

Im not sure about facebook but when i deleted my bebo account id say about a year and half ago one day in the last 6 months i tried to get in just to see if i could ... but it was defo deleted indefinatley !!!!

I do know where you are coming from tho and it would be kinda freaky seeing stuff pop up on ur page about someone who has passed away.
My friends family were a little annoyed as it turned out it was the girl who died husbands new girlfriend who reported the page
