The idea that A super rich, super powerfull, super good looking guy like Richard Gear's character will come along and make even the lowest among them a Queen. They can't seem to get a clue that so few men exist and the ones that do, go through women like I change underwear. But so many of them have this notion in their brain that men have to lie simply to be in the running.
What do they expect when they hold us up to the ideal of a fairy tale?
I've only been involved with one man who told me his divorce was imminent, then decided he "couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't." In fact, even though we're still not seeing each other, the divorce papers are filed; there is a hold on them until they decide what they're going to do.
He had already bought and moved into a new house before we even met.
I can't speak for others' experiences, but it was hardly a "Prince Charming" scenario for me. I don't need a man to fill in gaps that I might be missing; I'm a completely whole person all by myself and am very self-sufficient.
The truth is, I cared very much for him. I still do, though to a lesser extent, because he proved himself to be too much of a wimp to let go of her control over him. I'm not sure we would have worked out, because I'm a much stronger woman than he is a man.
And, sure, I wanted to believe him, but "desperately?" LOL! I don't think so!

Honestly, how many of you guys know a guy or have been around a guy when he is feeding some woman the biggest line of bull you have ever heard and she is believing it as if she just fell off the back of a turnip truck.
I have been there with friends when they were doing this and I couldn't help but think that she wanted to believe what he was feeding her. Kind of like believing that OJ or Michael Jackson wasn't guilty. You can believe it, but you gotta really want to.

Man, come on...you gotta be able to run it...or you'll get run...slam over. Nice Guys finish last....I've said it, and I'll continue to say it. She doesn't really need to believe what he's saying...it's just that he has the NUTS to say it to her. Stepping up to the plate is the hardest thing in the world for some fellas and I just don't understand it. Worse she can do is tell me to EFF OFF.....and then I'll just move on her friends or the gal at the next table....

"Hey, how you doin?" "Me, oh I'm doing great. Been on the set all day, just drove down from Winchester, we've been shooting all day." Yeah, we're doing a film with Samuel L. Jackson, about blah, blah, blah......"Me, no, I do some stunt work and some driving" "Yeah, it's fun as hell, but so dangerous".....blah blah blah.......
Just now a guy IMs me and part of what he said is this:
"You are so pretty that i believe God spent extra time creating you. and if i were to present your picture in heaven, all the angels would hide their faces in shame."
I told him, "Well, if I wasn't nauseous before, I certainly am now."
One thing (some) people need to understand is that when someone refers to certain people as "stinky," "mostly jerks," mostly azzholes" and "liars" that they're talking about the ones who are "stinky, et al."
If you're not these things, then why would you be offended?
Perhaps you don't know the rules of CS. Nobody ever admits to caring about physical traits or acknowledges that others do as well. Nor does anybody admit that money or social status is important. Everyone knows it, but we keep it a big secret around here.
