I knew her for 6 years or so. Liked her a lot as a friend.
I spent a month in Sweden with her, she spent a month in Miami with me.
She was going to Navy school and later became a captain and I was living in the states. Distance to far and back then, no internet, just snail mail. Didn't even have a phone. So that relationship gradually went bust.

His girl friend since six years was not good enough any more.
He had found some one new to cheat with and their relationship had beem rocky so to say for year or so. Still living together but hardly communicating.
I had an apartment that was emty so he wanted me to rent it to her and at the same time seduce her. Of course he wanted me to set the whole thing up so that he wouldn't be the bad guy.
She was a friend of mine to and I felt sorry for her so I agreed.
I showed her the apartment, had some tea and ended up in bed with her.
She was quick to brake the news to my friend boasting how good lover I was and on top of that well endowed.
My friend got kind of upset with me! It was his idea!!!
I guess it's called a backfire.
My point to this story is that I think it's very common that people
stay in relationships while searching because at the end of the day it's pretty comfartable to have someone at home.
Maybe it's actually the lover who gets cheated upon and not the spouse.
Until the marriage/relationship is over.
