Today we discussed a bargain on athletic shoes and he mentioned he wore a size 44. I looked up the size and it appears to be a size in Europe. I've checked him out on spokeo.com and can't find anything bad about him and have checked romance scam sites. I'm not sure he's in Afghanistan. We are planning a meeting for Valentine's Day. Am I being too supicious?

You can never bee too suspicious. Try to web cam with him and see what he says. Web cam seems to be a great tool to weed out ones who are serious and those who are full of it !

Is he on this site? Is he coming to meet you? You'll know when he askes you for plane fare or says he got mugged on the way to the airport and needs money to pay medical bills or he might not survive.

I'm not qualified to give you any advice but I hope for you he's real. Be careful, PLENTY of scammers everywhere!

I have a lady friend who fell for a scam quite similar, i would be careful cause once you commit to send money or what ever you will find out you have been scamed.. good luck..... Larry
