majellajanCork, Ireland5 Threads 36 PostsSo here we all are on a dating site, for whatever reasons, well, let me just say I was thinking lately of all the things I'd like to achieve, make a film lol, swim with dolphins, be in a cage and have sharks swim past, jump from an aeroplane with a parachute, visit Egypt, go on Safari, then due to a loved one dying Christmas Day, I asked myself what would my dreams be if I were told I was dying..............catch up with that old friend, tell those I love how much they realy mean, want to sleep in my own bed and not a hospital, make tea in my own kitchen, wish I'd have worked less and spent more time with loved ones, wondered why I held a grudge with that 1 and only true friend, but most of all, why Did I waste years searching for that perfect mate???, when I could have found love in the Indian ocean, when i swam it for the first time, or the freezing alps when I knew what cold realy was, a life spent searching for a perfect love is a wasted life, Life is a gift, I hope I do it justice, and live it well:):)

An excellent perspective...losing someone near to us brings into sharp focus our own time and space. A very worthwhile goal

I couldn't agree more. All love is true and perfect, it's our expectations of it that are the screwey part.
