Personally I think Giggs and Scholes are playing well this season. Okay United may have no money to spend (Despite what Fergie and Gill both say) but who is available at this stage in this season? Man U have always had more money than most teams?? What about City? What about Chelsea? They have more money than United. Do I have to remind you that Chelsea are BELOW united in the premiership table?
As for spent badly and overpaid in the past, which team hasn't at one stage or another? Okay you mention Djemba Djemba and Kleberson and yes, you are right about those two but a better example would have been Veron. He wasn't worth half the money United paid for him. As for Berbatov, he was joint top scorer in the league last season. He hasn't scored much this season but its not easy to score from the bench.
Your argument is hardly very balanced now, is it? You mention the bad players but don't mention the good ones like Rooney, Vidic (although he is injured right now), Nani, Valencia, Welbeck, Young, Chicarito or Evra to name a few. Then you have young players like Cleverly, Pogba, Amos, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Ezekiel Fryers, The Da Silva brothers, Da Gea.
If United are so bad, please explain to me how they are second in the league....
