Even without Pogba, my point still stands. The future for United is not as bleak as some people think.

Bad in comparison to previous United teams is what I suggested.
The premier league standard is not as good as before, so when u say United are second it's cause the other teams are crap. Are Arsenal and Chelsea teams as strong as previous years? No way... Try looking at Uniteds form in Europe....two wins in CL group stages against the romanian equivelant of shamrock rovers...and the away win was with two penalties...a good european side would have murdered utd. that night they were so bad.....and now the embarrassment of the europa league...and 2 consecutive home defeats..
Saying they are still second in the league doesn't prove anything.

Maybe. But not the whole picture. United are still second in the league with only two points behind City with an easier run-in and still have to play City away. City have some tough games to play including Chelsea and Arsenal. Oh and United are not out of the Europa League yet. If United win 2-0 over there, then they go through.

Chris Smalling is a good, young player. Okay so he hasn't become a household name yet but he will someday. He has already got a few england caps. Not bad for a nobody, huh?
