Champions League Final... (45)
mcattack: Who do people want to see in the Champions League Final?? Loads of people are saying they'd love to see a Barcelona and Madrid final, i'm not so sure, they are the 2 best teams in the world BUT i don't think it'll be the best game, the diving and cheating that goes on in these games in Spain is ridiculous, it ruins what could be a brilliant game.
Anyone else have a view on this??

Yeah it was a good game, Madrid should have went for it but they sat back too much, gonna be a cracker in the Bernabeu, Chelsea are not gonna be easy to beat...don't rule out a Chelsea vs Madrid final
I would like to see a Madrid v Barca final. Firstly because they are the 2 best teams in the world, secondly for their rivalry and finally i don't agree that Bayern should be allowed to host the final on their home pitch if they got there, don't think that is fair.
Barca Madrid final! Madrid will overwhelm bayern at home and barca be far to good for Chelsea in my view

I think the final should be organised once the draw for the semi's have been made... Madrid, Barca, Bayern Chelsea... Paris is neutral for all 4 teams, easy choice!

I don't know, i think it adds extra pressure to them!! Imagine losing the European Cup Final in your stadium, then having to play there every other week..wouldn't be a nice feeling.

Inter won it in Milan in 1965, United won it in Wembly 1968 (Same Country ), Ajax won it in Rotterdam in 1972 (Same Country ), Liverpool beat Roma in Rome in 1984, Liverpool won in Wembly 1978 (Same Country ), Barca were beaten in Seville in 1986 (Same Country ), Juve were beaten in Rome in 1996 (Same Country ), Dortmund won in Munich in 1997 (Same Country ), United were beaten in Wembly in 2011 (Same Country ). Thats just off the top of my head....could be more.

Very hard to organise it logistically given the stadium bookings, hotel reservations for teams, local infrastructure that needs to be implemented/organised with 4 weeks to spare Rob. I see nothing wrong with the current system as its probably the lesser of all evils. Hard to please everyone and I can't see the top teams complaining about it given it's rotated.

Both teams dive and cheat constantly..have you seen any El Classico in the last 3 seasons?? it's ridiculous!!
As a Chelsea fan myself I'd love to see them do it...can't wait for barca later on...just hope chelsea come out all guns blazing and startle them slippery catalans

Have to agree with you hun. Ronaldo gets loads of goals but what a ponse!! Barca simply too hot for Chelsea and too much strength in depth, but Bayern just might do it. Tough battle ahead for them though.
