Is there anyone on CS that has gotten a message from Olga Veretennikova. She claims to be from Izhevsk City in the Udmurt Republic a province of Russia, but her IP address actually traces to Germany?

Fraya: Why would you want to track someones IP add?
To make sure they're legit. The IP is contained within the headers of an email. So if someone tells me they're from Cork, but the IP headers indicated the mail was sent from Nigeria, it'd be good to know. ;)

F##k! Busted!
It would never enter my head to do that...not that I`d know how.
It depends on what mail client you use. I use Outlook '07 for all my emails (gmail/hotmail etc).
So I select a message>right click>options. i see 'Internet Headers' box with everything I need. To a lay person it's all crap... but therein lies the info we need.
Copy the entire contents and go to something like this...

All emails? Like gmail, yahoo, iol, msn and the like?
I just checked emails in my gmail and there's nothing of the like on them.

You'll get a lot of them messages mate, commonly referred to as 'spam' and/or 'scammers', rediculously worded messages declaring there undying love for you and containing an email address at which you can carry on the conversation and pass on your bank details when love blossoms
I'm waiting to see will I ever get a message from Veronika Zemanova!

Thanks! Just to be clear, you're saying she doesn't really love me and I shouldn't send her every penny I have earned or ever will earn in this life and the next.
Sometimes, scammers can be a bit of fun but when you get loads of them in a couple of days they can be a pain in the rear end. The profiles aren't always obvious but the mails are...every time
