To which he replied calling me an idiot, and slagging off the whole Irish population for the next hour...supposedly we are incapable of looking for love outside our country??
Even if I DID only like Irishmen, is that such a crime?

The guy sounds like a plank, one of them extremely desperate individuals whom, if you had of agreed to chat probably would have been decalring his undying love and adoration for you within five minutes of you agreeing!!
Stick to your own country, far more practical, stick to your own county if at all possible, far more sensible.......in fact, Carlow isnt too far!

That was my philosophy too - there was a guy from Tullamore and I just refused to even consider meeting, even though we got on well - I just couldn't see how it could ever work.
Ended up with a guy from Kildare and pass the Tullamore turn off about half way. Things definitely change when it's heart ruling head and not the other way around.

According to guys on here Irish women aren't capable of looking for love in their own country either.... or at least wont go on dates
