have a good day rob, gotta cut up another tree bloody wind last night, think i,ll take out shares in stihl, seeing i buy so many blades haha

I tried to buy a Jolly Star mini Chain Grinder but a world wide recall took them off the market. The 511axs, a bigger version, is available but is big in a couple ways.

and this Tecomec Baby Jollyl Chain Grinder is currently available to

The latter uses 12 volt battery power and to i think does both sides.

The Jolly Star (and Speed Sharp) broke between the vice and the base if you opened the vice to wide and one end the chain dropped into vice and user then tightened the vice. A know able fault but capable of sharpening both sides the chain evenly and very precisely only little bit at a time. The Jolly Star is capable of sharpen all file sizes.

I used to use a chainsaw daily while in the sawmill.

I found that mechanical sharpening (especially when done by a male) shortened the life of the chain.

I much preferred to sharpen manually using a setup made by Pferd that actually took the risers down at the same time as sharpening the teeth.

I used the bottom one, looks like they have brought out a newer and maybe quicker to change direction version.
It used to take me 15 minutes to sharpen 2 chains, one 20" bar and one 30" bar so it is quick as well as you dont have to go back and do the riser. Keeps the chain cutting well too.

So maybe Rob and Twin have a look at one of them, they work well

After many years of testing the veracity of Australian courts, Parliament's, and their members, ombudsman and professional standards boards who seemingly only protect their own. I can only conclude that the kangaroo is aptly located in Australian courts, that those upholding written laws will not do so if it is contrary to current thinking/ party political dogma or payment from the larger party supporter.

If I had ten dollars for every time I have been asked "which organisation do you represent rather than who are you and how can we help", I would be a rich man and the country and world in better shape. Nor do I see evidence of all people having equality, in fact I had an ombudsman write and tell me that tampering of mail by a state premier's staff officer was not in his jurisdiction. Yet I frequently hear of police warning people off for opening mail to obtain a return to sender address.

Many proudly proclaim Australian democracy....funny I have never seen a ballot paper where the first box for marking has alongside "I do not think that any of the below candidates are fit to represent me". Most states have had the ability to hold referenda on every daily issue at very little cost. Similarly huge sums are spent on elections which could be more economically run.

In today's world it seems that the loudest, shouting the most obscure viewpoints, receive the accolades particularly if those making the view are also large advertisers, gay whales wanting to create further inequality in an unequal society or others making selfish innapropriate demands.

Here in Australia there is one very underutilised resource and that is community radio, listened to by about thirty percent of the population but sadly subjected to the whims of parochial committees and audiences selfishly demanding the banal that will not strain their brains.

Other than that, start your own political party or Ginger one of the existing ones. I suggest finding a secluded cave....but even they have become ego-boosters to petty bureaucrats creating work to justify their existence in this overpopulated world of rose tinted spectacle wearers.

I am the frequently frazzled FrayedBear but I try not to be a sheep.

Lets just hope Rob that it reaches a conclusion so you can at last put it behind you.

I know how hard it is as my daughter ended up with a corrupt lawyer.
We had the proof but getting one of his peers to take him on was impossible... I go cold with anger every time I think about the unfairness of it all' by that I mean the family court system in Tasmania and all who are a part of it as they are untouchable as nobody ...I mean nobody' even the media is not allowed to report anything or say a word against them they are simply a law unto them selves everyone is at their mercy.

Justice for all stinks. sigh

most people do, but that one you use the angle of the handle and keep it parallel to the blade and it keeps you on track, once you master it.

must be simple, even the old bushman used to get me to sharpen his chain, always tried to hide it from his son so I could sharpen it laugh he was fascinated with it's KISS principles, but couldnt master it after 50+ years of doing it his way

somewhere along the track i worked out i had to act within the bounds and on the only peaceful platform our law allowed people to peacefully resolve disputes upon.
A depute where are party (mother-in-law) engaged solicitors, to kidnap our children off to SA from NSW, both being parties other than my spouse.

but thanks for your comments

The plaque outside my door reads "99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name "
Sadly we citizens allow this state of affairs because most people will not think on such weighty matters until it personally affects them let alone stand up and be counted.

In this mad bad world we hope against hope that there is someone that we trust so of course we... in all innocence believe if we have done nothing wrong we have nothing to fear' also if we tell the truth right will be on our side WRONG its who tells the biggest lies!
Even if they are caught out under Oath nothing is done to punish them...meanwhile the Lawyers bills get bigger and we need a trolley to carry the Lawyers correspondence and so on in Triplicate dreading the phone calls, the Faxes, the Emails and the hard copies sent through the mail. blues

Until we flee to Victoria and get an honest Lawyer who cannot believe until we struggle into his office with our trusty trolley.
Justice at last but left in its wake a stroke victim my ex never the same again who could take it no more and who left us to run to his big families safety in England leaving behind three generations myself, my daughter and my granddaughter right in the middle of the quagmire.

Funny thing Rob my daughter also had a so evil mother in law to deal with too...betcha this M.inlaw was worse than yours.sigh

Although looking at the photo comp at the moment, it will only be the pros that get a look in (not about you, Lookin rolling on the floor laughing )

Will have to learn how to put the pics on photobucket for others to look at them. Something to do when I get back.

ps, Are you going to let Lou know that we found the shop she was looking for?laugh

robplum: Can you please offer only considered responses as the matter really matters, i could do with a hand

You write a letter to everyone (the same letter but cc it to the others) to the Prime Minister, Premier of your state, Minister responsible for area of Ombudsman (ie health, police, electricity, whatever) and your local member and make an appointment to go see your local member get them onside. If you live in the premier's electorate they have to answer your letter. You will get a lot of letters referring it on but that way they know you're going to keep pushing your issue. And, keep it up.

Another suggestion I wouldn't use the word "lie" that may be true but find something less confrontational - difference of opinion, differing views on the issue, etc. Hope this is of some benefit to you.
