JeanKimberley: that stuff strips the paint off doesn't it?
It doesn't strip the paint but it does leave a stain. I bought a product from Turtle Wax that removes it if I get to it before it's been on my car too long but it takes a lot of rubbing to get it off.

I'll have to avoid parking under trees - otherwise it requires too much rubbing for my liking.

My yard is loaded with very tall pine trees so I can't avoid them unless I park on the street. This is the time of year that the pine cones are growing so they drip the sap. When cold weather comes they turn brown and fall off the tree just in time for Christmas decorations.
