The question wasn't aimed at me, but i'm goin to answer it anyway
the people on it strike me as needy. the types that are happy to try and win a competition where the outcome is a bunch of other people directing your career and you going along with it like a gimp basically. don't get me wrong i've seen some good talent on it, but honestly i wish they'd believe in themselves a bit more work hard forget about the show and get themselves out there (on the scene). on their terms

Its not about fame, or even music. Its about money, about advertisement, about exploitation, about figures, shallowness, consumer culture, all thats cheap and expendable.

If most definitely is a quicker route. but not necessarily better. but at the end of the day people know what they are getting into by entering it. they know the terms. if they're happy to go along with it, good luck to them. i just don't think it's the best way for a talent to grow

Theres a lot of like-minded out there plugging away with passion
I'm a big supporter of the local live gigs. For me its where the real music is at. Some have had opportunity and let it slide for whatever reason...I dont ask.
It is a great vent for snobbery though lads, Trackie wearing, Karaoke singing types trying to make it into showbiz. Needless to say I don't watch that mindless crap myself loike.
