purr4mance: I am tired of the obfuscation and distortion of the supposed facts that people/politicians put forth here and elsewhere.. Maybe at times they don’t know and so just run their mouth but from my experience it’s blatant, outright, tactical deceit. So I agree with you.
I here comments about the disconnect people feel from their leaders in Washington. I mean really??? With the entire media as a whole and for all who use it to build up a false “personality” of who they claim there leader to be, how can Washington be anything but disconnected? The star player they helped get elected ends up someone no one recognizes.
And yes taxes have to go up for all now and in the future.
I didn’t sterotype you. I don’t know you well enough to even try. It’s just an observation and I think it’s accurate. Funny thing is though calling me prejudice and then you go and call Obama a Marxist. I think you have prejudice issues. Does that make me prejudiced again? lol..
scarlet and gray all the way
Nah, i take that back, your not prejudiced.. Just handicapped, given your fav colors. lol
Dadude62: I've been around for a while and got tax cuts ever since Reagan. Yes I had a little more money in my pocket. But soon local taxes went up because of these tax cuts. The Federal Gov. cut funding the states and cities and everything they used to fund. Prices went up on just about everything, anyone who could raise prices on their products to recoup their losses , did so. Soon I was poorer then before my tax cut. And every time there was another cut the same thing happened. These cuts for the rich were implemented under the guise of job creation,,, we should at this point be inundated with jobs. Instead they shipped those abroad to exploit people desperate to work for next to nothing. Those who still do have a job are now working for peanuts and no benefits or health insurance. What really resulted was a tremendous shift of wealth from the middle class to the top 1% through these Government policies. Socialism? The bush tax cut was the straw the broke our back,,,,
exactly. The prize question is: at end of the day, are you better off today than you were in the past, all things considered. I think the majority will have to admit their wealth did not increase by 400% as did the wealth of the richest people during the Bush years.
Where I lived, the rents and just general cost of living got so out of hand (including a sales tax increase, etc.) that I said I will simply not support that system anymore and I left.
Of course you're right about the tactics/strategy, but people want to be deceived. In the end, it doesn't matter which party one votes. The system is rotten to the core, but we're way past interior politics. The game's a global game now and we, the people, don't get to play.
