fast_and_furious: do what do I do then?

Well that's your call now ain't it but I would go back and see your own doctor or who ever you seen in hospital. Ask them about getting a CT scan because chances are you will be told by a neurologist to have one done.

anniebaby: I was lucky in a way as my symptoms were getting worse, you will wait months and if lucky you will see someone for 5 minutes.

Or years.

My sis is waiting 5 years now for her first appointment in Cork. Her symptoms haven't worsened but she still sees stars, gets ferocious headaches and gets dizzy spells.

fast_and_furious: Anyone no is there any way to get a neurological appointment brought forward? The waiting list is huge and a big shortage of neuros in Ireland!

Have you considered going up North or over to the UK ,
I'm sure you'd get an appointment a lot faster and as you
say you're prepared to go private, shouldn't be a problem.

I don't see it as a problem being from Ireland,
Google it and make a couple of phone calls,
can't do any harm, I find dealing with the UK
they tend to be so much more informative and helpful then here.
the wait wont be anything like it is here,
