I'm new to these forums but I seen quite a few threads about this film. But I have not seen it "highly praised" anywhere...or was that sarcasm on your part?
If you are talking about the film I think you are talking about , it is the most stupid film ever made. Well, maybe not. I am sure there are lots of films just as stupid, but the only reason this one has become so well known is because of the muslim extremists who are using it as a reason to incite hatred.
But by starting this thread in the way you did, using the language you did....i.e. calling them medieval....are you not also inciting hatred? would it not be better to discuss this without putting down the whole middle eastern world? Is it not unfair to tar them all with the same brush? Its the lunatics that are causing trouble not the majority...or am I wrong saying that?

That $100k really isn't that much. By the time you take all the federal, state, and local taxes out...a person might end up w/$40k.

And yes,"highly praised" was sarcasm,-not the best film I´ve seen,and probably not Oscar nominated..
