SeaLilly: Yorkshire Terrier or Dandie Dimont Terrier,as pet?

id go for the dandie dinmont, they are active little dogs that dont shed and have less health issues than yorkies, they need to be groomed on a regular basis and need strict training when they are young as they can be a bit bossy but other than that they are great dogs.

just a small note - dogs come in breeds not races
race is either for the greyhounds - which they race or for humans can be distinguished into various race (although I think humans really are all one race).

and on that little aside - I love the big dogs - rottweiller, german shepherd, malamute, husky, bull mastiff, saint bernard, great dane etc, etc.

I suggest go to a shelter, and gives a chance to a little puppie of having your love and care.
They have temper, some are outgoing, others are happy staying at home.
i have 5 beautiful small mixed dogs fom shelters. some are extroverts others introverts. choose one that goes with your personality.... well you will find out the puppy choce you !

If I were in the market for a dog, I would probably start with the shelter but there is only 1 dog breed I would ever care to own and that is a Boston Terrier.
