Pls explain what is happening? (10)

First of all..Hello to all my new friends!!
I just need some advise to clarify a few dating experiences .....

What happen to the old fashion dating way.....???

Remember when you got some sparks..,they take you out for a walk,movie,dinner ..... and be nice to you.....you smile he smiles back at you.... he will give you a kiss in the cheek....
then he will call you ....talk and talk and you will go out with him in another date...and he will surprise you with flowers........he will tell you he likes you........
then you keep dating and talking, writing letters, getting romantic poems..
Then you hold hands......hugs....kisses.........
Now they want not even talk on the phone just e-mail,take you for coffee and invite you to go to their homes....to watch movies !!! yeah right....

Pls tell me any opinions will appreciated 1) how to handle this situations and how to said no to those invitations....I don't like them...they just want that... and I don't want....and where can I find someone like the old times....honest , faithful,trustful,romantic & sincere....

hi sweetkitty,, a computer world,, that's for sure,, but it is only that because we are allowing it,, i still meet men out in public and have dated them,, restaurants,, gas stations,, shopping,, we have to be social,, doesn't have to be a computer world for dating,, if ya don't want it to be,, make the old fashioned way work for you,, see ya on the 25th,, foxyone1 ( kelly )

I think that before the internet took off, the old way was more romantic. You'ld see someone across the room or on the street, your eyes would meet, and you've already had the chance to give each other a quick once over. You already know if there's an attraction or not, and then you build on that from there.
Now a days, you chat online, you think you're hitting it off and then you go for the big meet and most times it winds up that the other person is not what you really expected. And since some guys are pigs, not all, they figure what the hell, since you're hear with me, let's go back to my place. Some guys don't have the charm or manners of a gentleman to make it in real life. They should just stay in the cyber world.
Like someone already said. Stick to your beliefs and values. You'll be happier with yourself in the end, and eventually the right guy will come along. The right guy will appreciate that in you. Don't give up hope.

I totally agree with you, time's have changed. I think they are trying to take the younger groups ways (like the ones 23 and under)...
But it's not like it use to be. And your right about when they invite you to there place. So I don't know what to say that can be of help...think I need advice in this area too.
