FLAGS.

What would happen if countries didn't have a flag? Would they suffer in anyway as a result? On major occasions like sporting events, why display a flag or wave it about? Would the athletes not perform as well if they couldn't see a flag? At protests, people turn up with their countries flags. Would they feel unrecognisable or inadequate without the item?
What would life be like without the material on a pole? Would countries still survive?

It is a way to establish territory.Humans have always had the need to declare MINE! Rally round the flag and all that. People are followers. Follow the leader. Follow that rag. Now there are more and more who don't. And in one way, that is good. Do not follow blindly.
I have no interest in flags. Just symbols that show off claims.
What would humans do without ceremonies? How could they show off achievements? Between holidays and day of, people would have no excuse to party. Pomp and circumstance to prove you count more than others. BAH!roll eyes

Do flags signify ownership? Are they provocative? Whenever there is conflict, there is a flag. Even on the moon a flag is placed. Does that make a statement. This is ours.We are conquerors. We are the best. Our country is the greatest.
Would it be better to stop flying flags?

The new England football football shirts designed by Nike show the country's flag in blue and pink. The correct colour should be red cross on white background. This has upset a lot of people. You can't change the true flag's colours just if you fancy a change. In Germany Nike has caused a problem too. The number 44 Is shown to look like the SS emblem of the Nazis.
