Ones I meet at school were smart and funny, they were fun to hang around with and try to get to smile. Very Nice smiles. Nothing went anywhere because well I was a bit more on the radical apperance and was not family material.

My best friend all through high school and college was Indonesian. Because of her looks, boys and then men thought she was exotic and mysterious. She was prety quiet, which I suppose added to the impression she was mysterious. The truth was that she was just an ordinary woman, like any one else. Race or culture should not mean anything. People need to look below the surface to what the real person is. I live in a country where I am a minority, in looks, being fair and blond. It attracts men. But they are not attracted to me, they are attracted to what they believe about my culture and that my looks are different than most women here.------ This thread is Archived ------

My son just married one. Doesn't speak enough english to get any fix on her yet; but she's cute and he digs her. Doesn't mean they're all cute though.
There's a difference in ideals with some, I think depending on how they were raised; but then there's others who have been westernized so they're pretty much the same as in the west. Generalizations don't help much, they're people with beliefs just like you.
