Welcome to our world.
But point of fact being the war mongers outnumber the pacifists by a bunch. You have to smack them up the side of the head with a 2x4 to make any point whatsoever over their chortling, back slapping and screaming... but you are absolutely correct... really a Oh DUH moment there, so yup.. guilty.
Have a position.. other than being an observer of our ironies?

"Now let me be clear -- I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity. He's a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him."
State Senator Barack Obama (Democrat, Illinois) Speech at Federal Plaza, Chicago, Illinois October 2, 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members...
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.
This is a very difficult vote, this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard, but I cast it with conviction."
Senator Hillary Clinton (Democrat, New York) Addressing the US Senate October 10, 2002
"In the next century, the community of nations may see more and more the very kind of threat Iraq poses now -- a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction ready to use them or provide them to terrorists, drug traffickers or organized criminals who travel the world among us unnoticed.
If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton Address to Joint Chiefs of Staff and Pentagon staff February 17, 1998

This was the "wrong war"...let all face it...GWB made a major mistake going into Iraq. Drawing those 182,000 foreign fighter (future prisoners) into the country....many that were alQeada.....that I could free after I was elected......so we could have Arab (Shia) Spring and expand Islamic Radicalism to Eygpt, Libya, Tunisia, ..........
It simply was the wrong war......but it got me elected.
agman: This praise of Obama by repubs may have been premature. It appears the good people of NY are in continued hardship.
It will not fall the far up the chain of command....Mayor Bloomberg will fall on his IND sword....DEM Governor Coumo will take the heat before President Obama takes any.......
But is it not interesting that as Governor Christy struggles in NJ.....how few DEM are saying thank you for his efforts.....ah entitlement......

Just in case you didn't know, there's an election coming up in the US, and that tends to bring out the worst in people, not the best.
