Not a very exciting gift, but I could use a heating pad, my lower back tells me.

Sometimes the gifts we get don't need to be exciting, because honestly the best ones seem to be those that we use the most! thumbs up

Aha too funny, reminds me of my dad as he was excited that I got him a ice scraper and wow did it work well - they aren't all designed the same. Simple thing, but it was practical and worked well.

Hmmm,...maybe I am reading these posts in the wrong order,....for you just said a post or two ago you were going to call your dad to fix the sink?dunno

Either way, either person, it will be fixed.

And seriously, what is on my Christmas list? As I said before socks (because they are the "traditional gift", along with ugly purple and yellow ties, and macaroni "collages" and screwdrivers that "dads" always seem to get at Christmas time and always seem to be so damn happy to get because it comes from
the kids and the wife and those that understand what he really wants is to simply be appreciated! And although I have come close, I have never become a "dad",....yet socks at Christmas sort of make me feel that way).

What really counts as a gift to me is to simply be able to be with those I love. To be able to snuggle up to some one and whisper in their ear, "Merry Christmas".

Well, that pretty much sums up my list!grin

langleygirl: Ok having spent 2 hours at the mall, mindlessly walking around trying to find those elusive gifts for others without breaking the bank, I'm still not much further ahead!! So what the heck is on your Christmas list?

Ideas for men would be highly appreciated for that is the bulk of my shopping. Although I suppose ideas from ladies would be good for the men who have no clue either!!

Can I have you for Christmas? grin

rolling on the floor laughing Nothing! Those are indeed nice colours! But the tie I remember seeing one late December was an extremely vivid and bright purple WITH neon bright yellow giraffes!grin Visible from space it surely was! And on the day in question, we all got called into a rather important meeting. Everyone couldn't help but stare (and he was very proud, for it had been a gift specially chosen for him by his young son, but even he admitted that he would have NEVER chosen it for himself!grin )
