I watched it and it made me ill to think of the lengths someone will go to to gather someones info.
My nephew works for an identity and he was totally shocked at what kinds of tricks some people pull.
He told me and his friends on Facebook that he doesn't even use his real birthday.
He said that usually that's all most identity thiefs need is someones birthday.

Thank you. I'm actually paranoid about my identity being stolen so I take extra precaution in keeping things of importance safe. Anything that comes in the mail with my name and address I shred in a cross cut machine.
Today I got a phone call from a group who said they wanted to lower my credit card interest. I asked them why and they said because I have a good history with paying my bill on time. I asked them again who they are and they said a name. I responded with if you said the name of MY credit card company I would listen to you but I don't know who you are so I'm declining the offer. They hung up on me.
I don't believe in mind readers and my guess the people in the video probably didn't either but they were sucked in when told it was for a tv show.
What confuses me is how did the "mind reader" actually know the true information of each person. Had those people been hacked beforehand?

The thing is, I don't have any money for them to steal. It's just the idea of them getting away with it that bugs me.

I watched the video and it's an eye opener. I think we all have an idea that this kind of thing goes on but most people don't think about it too much because they think it won't happen to them. Computer technology and a few computer savvy people can ruin people's lives instantly. It is a very serious matter.

Um, there were no secrets revealed in this at all, in case you missed it it's an advertisement and as ads do, they've exaggerated this guy and his teams abilities.
What we didn't see was how the people were selected, oh sure there was a brief glimpse of researchers talking to people but how long was the process of selection and what did it involve? There's tons more that we did not see and I'm not going to bother speculating any more over an ad.
Have a look there if you want to learn about online scams. Loads more sites on the same and similar subjects, however SWs is genuinely run by people who really do have a clue on whats out there.
