Growing up in single channel TV west of Ireland this comedy (the odd couple) was about as exotic as it got! RIP Jack.

Jaysus, they're dropping like flies this year. Clive Dunn, Patrick Moore, Gerry Anderson and now Jack Klugman. 
You're a bit late, he's dead with 2 days, but yes, you're right, legend. I could always relate to Oscar because I've been the Oscar in a house sharing arrangement before.

The man's second name was Durnin and he was the son of an Irish emigrant to the US, he had a lot of non-central roles in films.
