Phoenix: Explain your 'northern cnuts' remark...

Its a great expression the locals round here have for northerners..it also drives them mad when they hear itlaugh I bet your fuming now aren't youireland

Phoenix: Deffo not fuming. It tells me you have a British partionist mind frame like snowy. I see all people born on the island of Ireland as Irish. You see it different.

ah no I see them as Irish too...I just like to say that to wind them up..latest is its a cross Border gang operating in the north Louth/South Armagh regionireland

Phoenix: Your reply wasn't in jest. It was sectarian.
Again snowy, I've never supported SF. And Marty McG..I don't care about his politics, it's as British as yours.

Not sectarian at all, just descriptive. They come from a different country so I described them as such.handshake

My passport came from the same place as issued yours (if you have one). Belfast is in the island of Ireland. The RC primate for all of Ireland sits in Armagh. The last president of Ireland (before Joe Higgins) came from the same part of Belfast as the one I grew up in (Ardoyne)..

So stop this nonsense about a different country<---which it isn't. It's a sectarian state not a country.

Keep your facts straight.

Phoenix: There will be a border poll, has to be (its enshrined in the GFA). If anyone reads it (along with St Andrews & Weston Park agreements) they'll clearly see that. And a British SOS hasn't got the power to call one, that is up to the Irish people as a whole (again enshrined in international law)..

What I know is the 26 counties run at a loss of almost 15 billion euro and the o6c run at loss of between 7 & 10 billion GBP.

That alone tells me both goveremnets can't do basic maths.

Lol, our economic problems are none of your concern.

Talk about facts?...and this from the guy who thinks Northern Ireland is 'occupied', so much for your grasp of facts!

Anyway, I hope for continued good relations between your country and mine.handshake

Mariannette: ah i used to hear things like that all the time when i lived in belfast.
That if there ever was a united ireland that we, those that live in the south would be classed as traitors cos we sold the north out!

I'd say we are safe enough!laugh

I think they can only have a border poll when they majority of the people in NI want it otherwise their would be no point in doing it because it would be defeated easily..at the moment the majority want to stay part of the UK at least on paper anywayireland besides this is getting off topic

Again you are wrong snowy..The two economies are linked (if you knew any thing about the cross border bodies you'd understand that).

Both health services work in tandum, policing, civil servants work together, transport..Banks of Ireland and Ulster banks cross the border..The list is endless.

And 'your' economy'..Ireland's economy thats a joke. Its not even own by ireland. After Lisbon2 and the bail out Ireland (26counties) got owned by Merkels 4th Reich, IMF, ECM and the US Fedral reserve.

Tell me again snowy how much Ireland is owned by Ireland. Not only did the majority sign away part of the country in the 1921 tresty but then gave away all sovereignty for 30 pieces of silver to a handful of capitalists.

What was that again about 'your economy'...

Phoenix: This border poll bollicks that Adams is calling for has more to do with stopping SF hemorrhaging any more than what it is. On paper their votes may be going up but that because of people not giving their vote to the SDLP.
SF today are very afraid of groups like Erigi and RNU gaining a bigger foot hold in republican areas than they already have. A lot of the 1916 societies are becoming more vocal in their criticism towards SF (thats where they use to get a lot of support).
I agree that a poll in the next 10-20 yrs will probably deliver a re-unified country. As for the flag dispute as farcical as this sounds. If it continues into the marching season and there is a sustained period of intense rioting as in the battle of the Bogside the RUC/PSNI wont cope and runs a real risk of the BA called in to back them up..

A 're-unified' country in 10-20 yrs? Are you on the waccy-baccy?
