Whether global warming is man made or not may no longer be an issue. The bigger question is, can mankind do anything to arrest the trend.

Be sure to watch the video.

I watched the video Ooby. She said the methane will be frozen and have no where to escape until 10,000 years from now.

The bible says that the world is going to be destroyed by fire. Perhaps it will be started from the methane.

So I guess 10,000 years from now instead of another ice age we're going to have a heat age. The ice will melt thereby letting loose all the methane.

At that point, the world is going to go ... poof.very mad

I just watched the video 3 more times and can't find where she said 10,000 years from now. This Methane is being released right now.

Here is a major source of greenhouse gases that lead to global warming. A partial solution to global warming, and a total solution to this terrible waste of energy would be to capture the gas that is being flared (burned) and using it to heat homes, generate electricity and power motor vehicles. Flaring at oil refineries and drill sites has been going on for over 50 years and it is one of the most ignored problems in the oil business. It's a practice the big oil companies don't want people to know about.

I have read up on a couple of theories relating to recapturing methane gases and recyling them. Its very possible and I hope thats its something that gets looked at in terms of developing technology...The solutions are there, we just have to find them peace

In the future, all going well, there will be huge sectors of the economy dedicated to sustaining the biosphere. And this will be a colossal Human effort, yet science is advancing all of the time and hopefully the West will emerge leaner from our long decline.. lean enough to be worthy, and capable, of living in the much more challenging world of tomorrow. I can only wonder what the future race will look like.
