The current, and 22nd, Prime Minister of Canada is the Conservative Party's Stephen Harper, who was appointed on February 6, 2006, following the general election that took place that year.
however, it is a minority government. a minority government is formed when a political party does not have a majority of overall seats in government.
(ali, means folks voted for some other parties, which divided the opposition to Harper, and more people in Canada did not want harper than did, but due to the nature of the system, he got in)
i like to think of him as Bush's little minion, selling us out to the highest bidder.

My countries leader is Julia Gillard, and as far as i know she's not corrupt, does a pretty good job infact. IMO.
