Had an engine room fire, and drifted 90 miles off course. Over 4000 people on board with no toilet use, shortage of food, and otherwise very poor conditions. I believe 5 days overdue as well.what happened to the ship?

Also limited lighting and many slept on deck for days due to smell and overflowing commodes. They ate cucumber and onion sandwiches.

It amazes me of just how spoiled we all are, how even though there was a "rescue" on its way. People just went crazy. I guess the new name for the ship is FAILURE. Carnival is notorious for this...

They used plastic bags and put the bags in the hallways. Also, the ship is huge and seas were rough. The tugboats had a struggle out there and couldn't go very fast.how come it took so long to get them somewhere else? like where they could use the bathroom?

I would never go on one of those cruise ships. Got to be the most stupid way imaginable to 'travel.' Like going to Vegas to see the world.

too bad - I have been on some great cruises - safe, lovely weather, convenient, inexpensive, worry free.
I also think most people don't go to Las Vegas to see the world - they go to DisneyWorld!!!!
