Alternatively a walk around an exhibishion, gallery, the park even! I find walking and talking works better, less awkward than sitting across a table in some cases. Plus you can run away really quick if needs be

Im probably of the same mindset as that.
Hence why coffee or lunch would be my preferred choice, just to see if there is some sort of connection there. If so then an evening meeting or dinner or drinks would work.

Totally, first one I always class as a 'meet up', no matter how well you may think you know someone, you dont really know what theyre all about until youre sitting across from them. So no point playing some expensive day out or a candle lit dinner if you two aint gonna click

I prefer the word 'date' though, 'meet' sounds too business like, as if we have to bring a CV or something.

lol no matter what we call it, it seems very rare around here lol
modermen: Why not ,it gets things out of the way and onto the next step it breaks the barrier, I have been on dates and I was asked back to hers and being the fool of a gentelman I refused and they dident like that, at least get a kiss, creates a bit of stimulus for the next stage.If I thought I wasent going to get some after the 2nd date I am outa there.

I think more women in this day and age should be a bit more forward about dateing instead of exspecting men to do all the work at the risk of rejection.
