They also have less money to invest, that could be one of reasons. I did invest in land when I had money, but it seemed a safe investment at that time. I, however, made mistake last time I bought the land and sold too early with a small profit when two years later it would have been great many times of that. It is hard to maintain the property though, and may be that was a reason - the police fined me for not taking care of the land and I budged at the end. May be the man would not budge, I don't know.
