And?? dunno

It may be that it takes a considerable amount of time. Be prepared. Its ridiculous and only serves the professionals, I'm afraid. Mine took 2.5 years!

Seek whatever suppoprt you feel you need whether that be family, friends or legal/financial/domestic/family advice. If its available, take advantage of it.

Good luck! cheers

Good luck with that damshoppin.

It can get tricky usually if there are kids/property involved.

Hope it goes thru quickly. teddybear

Hi xxDandelionxx, all the finance stuff was sorted amicably a couple of years ago. The divorce should take around 3 months, the ex and i have agreed everything and are using the same solicitor to annul the marriage, so this should be quite painless.. Mick

Hi damshoppin, yes I know Bli Bli, it is about 2 hrs drive north of me, near one of my favourite places for a weekend getaway, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. Nice part of the world. Do you know someone there? wave

I agree it is hard, I divorced after 34 years because when the children flew the nest it just became a habit as we did not really share the same interests, luckily my divorce was amicable. Good luck too you

Well, had a letter from the court and the divorce will be heard later this month, (july)I don't need to attend so it should be just a formality...I'll let you know how I get on, even how much it cost and how I went about it.

The divorce has been granted, just have to wait a few weeks for the decree absolute then it's all official. It was quite painless and not expensive. I refused to use solicitors until it was absolutely essential.
