It's not a miracle cure - you have to have a calorie deficit which is achieved by eating a bar that contains wood chips (it's listed as cellulose something in the ingredients) and a soup that tastes like vomit (I'd have eaten most things but it's really vile). A friend did it last year - lost 11lb in 4 weeks but I think most diets if stuck to would yield similar results.
Best thing is to eat clean - cut out all processed food for 30 days. (Dropped a lot of weight this way) Have a look at revolutionfitness.ie for some free and easy ideas.

Haven't tried that option for weight loss.
I have taken the low carb route in the past and to be honest it changed my whole way of looking at food. Cut out processed foods as sally mentioned above, also went cold-turkey on coffee and that was a killer because I kind of wanted to do a bit of a detoxing as well. I stuck to it for about a month as I'd lost about a stone and didn't want to lose more. Before I'd think nothing of eating half a packet of biscuits in one sitting, now I'm grand after a couple (unless it's 'one of those days') grin I also take sweeteners now in coffee whereas I used to take 2-3 sugars....I just don't have the same sweet tooth as before.

Then I've a sister who has lost 6-7 stone in little more than a year on Weight Watchers. My point being you need to find what works for you.

I joined Slimming World a year ago and need to lose 2lb to reach a target of 2 and a half stone lighter!!! I tried all sorts of diets as I am steroids alot due to a lung condition, I have learnt how to eat sensibly and still enjoy life. My friend had a gastric by-pass over 5 years ago after weighing nearly 28 stone she lost 13 stone and put 5 back on due to not eating properly, so we both joined she has lost over 6 stone as is now a consultant with Slimming World she feels if it had been here before she had her by-pass she might have never needed it....

most important of all is will power , if ya aint got that then tis pointless..after that calorie intake awareness and excercise ..rapid weight loss diets tend not to be as effective in the long run as gradual weight loss.cause with the gradual approach yer training yer body and mind for the future and thats what counts .thumbs up
