I like how you changed all our things of the kitchen to "la haute cuisine".

You make fantastic wine.

I like the "bel accent" when you speak.

I will go with Roy on the french kissing thing with a girl too...

Well, for one thing, I was stationed in France for 2 years. first in Sumur and then in Orleans for my last year. The girls were beautiful and fairly friendly. In general most of the people were friendly, especialy in the country areas. But in one are of Orleans, people were not that friendly. All in all though, I enjoyed my tour there.
Which was from 1963 too 1965. I am sure a lot has changed since then.cheers

Absolutely love the French. Where would we be without French haute cuisine and wine? Also love French cinema. The three finest movies ever made are Red, White and Blue. It was, of course, a Polish director but the films were essentially French. I recommend them to anyone.

Over all they are not much different than we are. They love their children, try to do good in live, love family, have jobs, care about their neighbors, some go to church some don’t, just like us here in America.

I found the French to be warm, kind, caring people, not so much in Paris but this is true in New York City or any large city in the world. Still good people but city people are not as friendly as rural people.

As a society and civilization the French have been here for America and we have been there for them, we share a common history and a love for freedom. We are not that diffrent you and Igrin

As an Englishman, I guess I should be less than complementary about the French.

But I have to say, that in my travels I have met some fantastic people who force me to expand my mind, by refusing to speak anything else but French (the same way the majority of Brits refuse to speak anything but English) So for that, I thank you.

The country is an awesome place, from the vineyards, I have slept in, to the south coast where I went cruising for hotties, to the stark harshness of the west coast where the Atlantic batters it mercilessly, where I sat for two hours getting soaked in the huge rollers that crested the cliffs I was sat upon.

Vive la differenceyay

dont know much about french people although as a maltese i dont have much to thank the french for!!! We were once a french colony and been robbed of some of our most valuable national treasures in times past.

apart from that i must admit that PARIS is my favourite place in the world for now... been there quite a few times and each time it was a wonderful experience.

But please do learn more english!!! wink
