Pretty scorching here, not too bad in SE Qld, about 27C today but strong cooling breezes thumbs up

Can't say the same for NSW and especially around the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, having a terrible time with the bushfires.

Heard today that one of the biggest was started by the Dept of Defence blasting, or testing explosives something like that. doh

Idiots. In the kind of conditions we have had, very hot, strong winds, no recent rain, thick undergrowth ready to burn ...... so yep, not a good idea to start testing your weapons. thumbs down thumbs down thumbs down

The world's weather seems to have gone mad - it seems every week there is some kind of 'extreme weather' report? confused

India today -

Then there is Mt Etna erupting again?

Thanks Redex - I am safe from the bushfires this time, they were in and around Sydney and Newcastle which is about 1000 kms (yep thousand) from where I am in Qld. It has been unusually hot and dry here too for 'spring' and the conditions are not good with the very strong high winds too but so far so good.

We haven't had much rain in about 3 mths I think, we will probably get a deluge - but hopefully not like the terrible floods we had a couple of years ago.

Been following the reports of the bad storms which are forecast for UK for Sund nt/Mon morn (UK time) been keeping an eye on that as I am UK born but my family are either in N. England or Ireland.

Stay safe everyone, I will be checking the news before I leave for work Mond morning. teddybear
