I wasn't a great fan, loved "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" though.
It was his style that influenced so many others.
I read/heard? a comment somewhere yesterday ... That of the 30,000 who purchased their first album ... they all went on to start their own band! chuckles

ooby_dooby: I was never a big fan of Lou Reed but I really liked Walk on the Wild Side. I'll probably get pilloried for this but in reality Lou Reed wasn't a singer he was more of a talker but I guess that works better for certain songs.
