I like longer emails sharing much. Maybe 6 or 7. Then phone and if get along 1st call, then 2 maybe 3 calls before meeting. That's just me. What about you?

You have to follow your gut instincts. since there are so many idiots on here who will claim their undying affections including myself that I have done with a few. I trust nobody anymore.
Yet if you are several hundred or 1000 miles away you stand a better chance to play it safe.

Personally, I think it's up to each individual - eg one guy I spent 6months, texting, talking, emailing, before meeting, went out with him for 18mths, another guy 6 weeks of just plain emailing, before meeting him for lunch, and no it did not work out, and then on sheer impulse I met another guy for coffee within 24hrs of shared emailing - coffee at Macdonalds... that didn't work out either
Must be a moral in there somewhere.. shrugging shoulders, giggling

i agree, this seems fine....i think though the meeting face to face, often decides alot...it's hard to know what people expect at times..:)

Which and how ever the people involved feel most comfortable. Two people will be communicating and those two people make the decisions between them.

I don't even think it's necessary to mention public places for meetings and added safety in the beginning. I've been around online dating sites for over four years or so. It seems like common sense to most in my opinion.

Depends on the content of email. Depends on how those communications made us "click". Hard to say with numbers, but always trust your instinct, when it says something just not right, then it might be.
I prefer video calls just to see if the one we're exchanging emails is the same as the one we talk to
