In every civilization great or small there will always be a percentage of misfits derelicts and those with mental illness. Human nature sees it as a weakness and the old adage applies survival of the fittest. Compassion tends to weaken the race. Yet without it human culture would have died out eons ago. Yes for many who see people wandering around the streets with visible signs of illness such as down syndrome or those who carry conversations with themselves it is sad that we so called normal folks will want to walk on the other side to avoid to block out that reality. Yet what do we say for the invisible illnesses like depression bi polar disorder or mild schizophrenia ? Many suffer such illnesses including myself and yet not every pill on the market may help. Certainly there are no pills out there to make those with hidden illnesses more appealing or social. Instead those who have hidden illnesses are just put aside and misunderstood. Many great composers writers actors scientists suffered with some form of mental illness. Yet my question is who defines the rules of what is considered an illness or a a misunderstanding?. Many are incarcerated for their behaviour because of some form of mental illness only because their actions brought harm to others or to themselves. It is easier to put them away in hope they will get proper treatment. The problem is they let them out after awhile to incorporate themselves into society. If they act up again back they into the system. A vicious cycle that never ends.
The old saying the stone that was rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone. If we are rejected by what we assume will feed us what we seek is probably not good for us from the start. Rejection and resistance is pretty much the same. When we go against the flow of the natural order of love and harmony we only defeat ourselves. Look not at rejection as a sign of defeat or lack of acceptance but a lesson in understanding selective order.

If that were the case how come there is so much divorce? Especially the 40 50 group? I think when people grow tired of each other or the money runs out they all want to go to splitsville. Nobody honors the vows anymore. However in an ideal world it would be nice if people would love one another and stand by their friends their mates etc. However as I see things from all those on this site everyone bails on each other or is not really seeking or believing in the hope of new relationships. Instead we place walls and defenses eventually sabotaging our efforts in finding a healthy person to be with. Usually many go on the false assumption that our future potential relationships will only be like our past failures carrying around our baggage with a smiley face saying either fix me or just put up with me. Until we learn to heal ourselves and love ourselves we cannot love others. Nor will we be able to build healthy relationships.
Most here are way too picky and most are fake profiles and misleading so it is difficult to to find anyone suitable. Then of course the distance is a big factor. So the chances of finding and or meeting your match up close and personal is slim to none. Then of course the time zones and cultural differences are a problem. So the best advice is play here but don't get attached here for unless your interest lives close or has the capacity to visit one may only sabotage their efforts in finding a friend.

Considering some of the cold and insensitive responses with the CS psychologists and relationship therapists I would wager to say most can't find anyone suitable either. Drifting in and out of short term relationships maybe considered an problem but they all served you for what you needed for your lesson of love. You are young yet and still have time but first work on yourself in your on healing and then when you least expect it love finds you.

Long distance love IMO creates images of sometimes is not the reality of the object of our affection. You can't touch or smell or make love to the person. People are highly vulnerable to imagination when they are lonely and desperate for friendship. It is true that only minds and hearts can join with a common connection but honestly cyber love is a pitiful way to sell ourselves out to the think we can be in love with people we have not met or seen or touched in person. Online people can create an image that is not real. When we are vulnerable we will love the image and or the fantasy but if our reality states that we can't sometimes afford to run off 12000 miles to meet our friends or love connection endless emails chats phone calls will not take the place of the human touch that we all desire. So we all should be careful in not fooling ourselves or misleading ourselves. Yes we can make mental spiritual and emotional connections easily to one another. If we can purge our physical desires and shut them off then cyber love can work. Yet all the spirit and emotions cannot be complete with that element of the physical reality because we live in this physical body and dimension. People are not ready to leave the body to meld themselves spiritually. Only few are capable of doing that I think and it takes a joint effort and understanding of ourselves and our partners or objects of affection.
