I am not really looking for anyone here but mainly to kill time and enjoy the forums a bit so I don't go searching for profiles to look at. Sometimes, out of curiosity I will look at the profile of a poster in the forums or blogs and also those who view my profile.

When i look at the profile, i look at their pic. Look at how many hair he has , look at his nails if they are clean or dirty, hmmmm... Also i will look if he has a mole. And oh! One more thing , i also look if he has teeth

I look at the location! If he is living in Scotland, then....
of course that is only step one... then I look at if we would be compatible based on age, interests, and what he writes about himself. I do look at the arrangement of photos -too. Looks are only a part of photos, he must be appealing to my personal senses.------ This thread is Archived ------

Well, I don't really look, of course. Just here to lark about on the Forums.
If I was to look though, if I detected a sense of humour in the writing, I would be attracted to that. As for the photo, a nice big smile would do it for me!

I generally don't view profiles.
When I did or on rare occasion do, it depends absolutely on the profile first. There are always key words that I already know, would be a waste of our time no matter what.
Photos don't tell all by any means. They can give a generalization but do not make the person regardless of perception that the eye might lead the mind to insinuate. They do help a lot. Pleasing to eye can automatically boost favorable odds.
I don't adhere to first impression rules much either. There can just be too many variables as far as individuality goes. The person may not be right for you on a personal note but that doesn't make them bad. It doesn't mean they can't become a friend or good acquaintance.
For the ones that truly are bad, you don't have to keep them around any way. Scammers usually stand out. I'm not so worried there.
I used to literally live by this, to a degree: "If I judged every book by it's cover; there are a lot of good books I might not have read."
