'Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying

Or taking a stand.


You see, the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - a word no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.


It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just another " Holiday ".
Yet shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing total strangers around just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.


As Targets were hanging their trees upside down,
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.


Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !


At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matters.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.


The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The season stopped before it even started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks, please listen to me.


Choose your words carefully. Yes, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease! If it wasn't for the left only the top 25% of the population would have the money to buy Christmas Presents.

Alas Thomas Jefferson wrote, much to the consternation of religious bigots, that "...I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State..."

To inflict Christmas on Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Zorastians, Pagans, New Agers, Animists, Atheists and etc. is unfair. And please don't be so simplistic in your thinking to try and tell us that this is a Christian nation and all the other religions should either become Christian or go back to wherever they came from. This country was founded on the principles of religious freedom and certainly no one should be demonized if they don't conform to cultural norms.

I happen to like Christmas but then that's a personal choice, one I wouldn't inflict on anyone else.

What the "right" tries to sell you

About their real family values

The sadest of all things is it is true and should makes us all blue.

They use the other faiths to take ours away but what the other faiths dont know is their faith will be taken aways as well someday.

I hope I haven't misconstrued what you said iRon12345 but no one, except the self-righteously smug right, is advocating that any one's right to religious freedom be curtailed. All we're saying is that don't impose your religion on me. If I don't want to be greeted with a Merry Christmas then let's not make a big fuss about it. Respect my decision and wish me happy holidays or nothing at all.

I hope that everybody that gets time off for the holidays takes advantage of it. You have worked for it so enjoy it.
