Don't know how much sigarettes cost in your country, here in Canada,$100.00 + a carton
Always promised myself to put the money away that I would have spend had I kept smoking.
I never did save the money.
Did anyone?
Figure this one a two pack a day, = 6 cartons a months, Hello???

serene56: I'm still doing nic gum BC, but weaning myself of that as we speak We need this support, thank you

Your doing fine Serene!
I know it is not easy. I quit several times in the past, four weeks, 6 month, still went back everytime I hit a stressful time.
Would at first borrow, did not want to buy a pack as I knew I would fail again.
Friends would then tell me, you did not quit, you just cut back.......

It's 4 months for me. I used a nicotine inhaler (I call it my peace pipe) and I'm mostly using 0% nicotine fluid, or forgetting about it now.

That might solve your after dinner cravings, Alexandro. It's a slower, less painful way of giving up. I didn't see the need for torturing myself over the whole business.

For those giving up, or weaning off nicotine substitutes, it can cause a dip in mood, so a bit of self-observation can be useful.

I had smoked since I was 18, and last year oct 24th, I was in Malaga and outside a shop that sold electronic cigarettes, I had no intentions of stopping smoking, I liked smoking, but something made me go in there that day and I bought one, now I smoke one of those but with vanilla, or coffee and Im dropping the nicotine level down slowly, I started at full stength of 24mg, now i am down to a 12, next stop 6mg but taking it one step at a time as I dont wish to back down now Im into my 7th month now and not had one cigarette since and dont want one either its so weird. My husband died of lung cancer 13yrs ago and Im sure he must have pushed me into that shop that day because it was the last thing on my mind.
